Muy vs Mucho in Spanish: the difference

Short answer

Muy modifies adjectives and adverbs and never changes: muy rápido, muy bien. Mucho modifies verbs and nouns, and in front of a noun it agrees: mucho trabajo, muchas gracias, trabajo mucho.

Never muy mucho. To say very much, use muchísimo: Me gusta muchísimo.
