Direct object pronouns replace the thing being acted on: me, te, lo/la, nos, os, los/las. They match gender and number and stand before the conjugated verb. ¿Ves la casa? — Sí, la veo.

- ¿Ves el coche? → Sí, lo veo.
- Compro las flores. → Las compro.
Position: before the conjugated verb, or attached to an infinitive / gerundio / positive command.
- No lo quiero ver. = No quiero verlo.
- ¡Cómpralo!
lo also replaces a whole idea: ¿Sabes que viene? — Sí, lo sé.
