Grammar rules

Uso del Present Perfect vs. Simple Past

B1#tiempos verbales#present perfect#past simple
TiempoEjemplo
Present PerfectI have visited London.
Simple PastI visited London in 2019.

Palabras clave del Present Perfect: already, yet, ever, never, just, recently

Uso de los Modal Verbs: should, must, might

B1#modales#verbos modales

ModalUsoEjemplo
shouldconsejo o recomendaciónYou should study more.
mustobligación fuerteYou must wear a seatbelt.
mightposibilidad (no segura)It might rain tomorrow.

Condicional de Tipo 1 (First Conditional)

Estructura: If + Simple Present, will + infinitivo

  • If it rains, I will stay at home.
  • If you study, you will pass the exam.

⚠️ No uses will en la cláusula con if: If it will rain

Passive Voice en Present y Past Simple

B1#voz pasiva#passive voice

Estructura:

  • Presente: am/is/are + past participle
  • Pasado: was/were + past participle

Ejemplos:

  • The letter is written every day.
  • The cake was made by my mother.

Uso de los Relative Clauses con who, which y that

PronombreSe usa paraEjemplo
whopersonasThe woman who called is my teacher.
whichcosas o animalesThe book which I read was great.
thatpersonas o cosas (informal)The car that he bought is red.

En defining relative clauses, se puede omitir that/which cuando es objeto: The book I read was great.
